John 8

1The Woman Caught in Adultery

Jesus, however, went to the Mount of Olives.
2At daybreak he appeared again in the temple, and all the people came to him. So he sat down and began to teach them. 3But the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery.

4they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of adultery. 5Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women to death.
